Description
Bring the forest into your home! Due to high demand and the high quality of our cane bark, we now also offer surfaces that retain the natural look and structure of birch bark. With nevi white nature, every piece is unique. The classic graphic structure in black and white of the natural birch bark creates interesting design accents in living spaces as well as in trade fair and shop fittings.
The effortless lightness and sense of space that can be felt in the birch forest can be quickly and easily staged in the room using our panels.
Application:
As the bark comes from Nordic birch and is carefully harvested, the product is particularly stable and mouldable at the same time. This means that our product can be used to cover 1. large areas and 2. different surfaces such as columns and curves. The possible applications range from trade fair, stage and shop construction to use in private living spaces.
Variants:
We mount the birch bark on fixed panels as standard. A variant on bendable plywood is also available, which can be used to encase columns, for example. If you have any questions, please contact info@sagaan.de directly.
The standard sizes available also include panels that are room-high and measure 250 cm by 20 cm.
The panels are mounted on either multiplex or maritime pine beams.
For installation, we recommend hidden click systems from ButtonFix. They are suitable for solid beams such as wood, concrete walls etc. (depending on Depending on the condition of the wall, you should use countersunk screws Ø 5.0 mm should be used. These are not included). You need 4 systems per panel and 6 systems from a panel length of 200 cm.
In addition, marking aids for the wall are required for correct installation. You will need as many markers per order as ButtonFix systems on your largest panel (4 or 6, as they can be reused for other panels). You can add these to your shopping basket as a separate product (see below).
We also offer optional Grip It systems for plasterboard walls to fix the Button-Fix solution to lightweight walls.
We can pre-assemble the systems for you or supply ButtonFix for self-assembly.

The birch bark box is classically round and very decorative. It is particularly suitable for serving slices of bread and biscuits in the centre of the table. It can hold a small round loaf of bread or some pastries. After eating, simply close the lid, place in the kitchen - and your bread and pastries are perfectly stored.
Your good bread stays fresh for a long time because the natural birch bark
The bark is removed in early summer harvested from living, predominantly old trees. The cambium is not damaged and the tree can continue to live. Nevertheless, it can happen that it is attacked by pests or fungi before new bark forms and then dies over the years. However, it then enriches the largely natural taiga as deadwood and makes room for higher-value species and young trees. This corresponds to the natural vegetation change. Like timber harvesting, bark utilisation is of course an intervention in the commercial forest. As individual trees in the mixed forest stand are utilised carefully, this is not ecologically problematic.

- You can wash out the lunch boxes, also with vinegar water, and then place them in the oven at approx. 60°C for half an hour. This kills any mould spores and the tin can be used as before. To prevent mould growth, we recommend our Swiss stone pine grids. We enclose care instructions with every tin you buy.
- As a rule, the cans take on the flavour of the stored food, not the other way round. This can only have an effect on the flavour if low-odour food is stored for a very long time.
- No further care is necessaryrubbing with oil is expressly not recommended.
