What can birch bark do?
In fact, we are dealing with a great plastic alternative because birch bark is:
- Waterproof (but open-pored, as it does not need to be sealed with varnish!)
- Flexible and three-dimensionally mouldable
- light
- insulating
but at the same time:
- velvety soft and warm to the touch
- Rich in essential, also antiseptic oils
- visually appealing on all three levels: in addition to the striking white front of the material, the leather-like back and the subtly marbled intermediate layer with contrasting lines open up interesting design possibilities.
