The longing for nature close to home is increasing: the more a natural life seems to us, the more sensitive we become to the fragile need for protection of nature, which we once fought against as wild and threatening not so long ago.
The birch is the symbol of untouched, vibrant nature – white tree trunks, slender and smooth, which lead us into the lucid eternity of nature.
No wonder that today many furnishing consultants, interior designers and interior architects reach for the white natural material when they want to create a very special ambience that is simple and at the same time awakens infinitely many associations and dreams: whether as a front panel on shelves in shops, as cladding for columns or even to Oven pipe, Birch bark is used for decorative purposes more than ever today.
That in doing so high-quality furniture can arise, also Cedric Lomeier presented, which is decorated with birch bark as his journeyman piece, who took second place in the design competition »The Good Form«.
