Later, cosmetics and medical products were extracted from the betulin in birch bark. And anyone who enjoys spending time in the woods appreciates birch bark as a natural firelighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our birch bark offcuts can be small pieces of bark, the white layer is sometimes removed, but frequently all elements, including mosses and lichens, are still present on the birch bark.<br>Our birch bark always consists exclusively of the wood-free outermost phloem layer (approx. 1-5 mm thick). The cambium and other inner bark layers are not included in any of our products.
